I'm classifying mine as a nickname because that's the closest thing. It's actually a little story (not a very interesting on though). It was during high school... or maybe middle school.... yeah. I think it was like 10 years ago holy crap I suddenly feel old at a town fair. I was there with my best friend and we were gonna do some of the game things, like the turtle race and stuff. And you had to get a name tag. So while we were in line, I randomly decided to make up a name I didn't think it would fly, I live in very small town where nearly everybody knows everybody else, so although I don't socialize enough to know people, usually people know me. We had been in a crazy Lord of the Rings phase, and Legolas was my thing, so I decided my first name would be Lego. And Vasavouchi... well, to be honest, I made it up on the spot! I dunno where it came from. But I wrote that down as my name, and the nice lady writing down the names of people entering asked me how to pronounce it and told me it was a pretty name. And I wore that nametag around all day. I can't remember, but I think my "name" may have even gotten in the newspaper with pictures of the fun stuff, and the caption listing the people in the photo included my fake name.

I've used this name ever since because 1) I didn't want to use a fandom-related name because I knew enough to figure I'd stop being obsessed with whatever it was I was currently into and then I'd regret the choice of name, and 2) Seriously what are the odds of somebody already having this name?
